Too cute....

Well, I went back home for a couple of days and was able to visit with my little cousins. It's weird to say cousins when they are little bitty, but I took amazing pictures of them.

Tornado in December? And this Dorothy slept through it!

So, it is December. And it is cold and windy and a little drizzly. Monday night my family and I just sat around while it was raining and lightning, ate a little supper and went to bed. It was lightning but I didn't think much about it. See, I have a storm phobia and I have gotten a lot better with the freaking out and looking for a cellar every time it sprinkles on my windshield.
We wake up, I take the kids to school and I see my friend C.
C. "Well, we were without electricity until this morning."
Me. " Why?"
C." We had a tornado" And shes looking at me like, are you stupid?
Me."When?"
We had a tornado and I slept through it. But, come to find out, it started a little bit down the way from our house, so we could not hear it. It started out by C.s house and traveled on down. Poor C. awakened by a semi-truck sound coming towards her and I'm in la la land.
Anyways, it destroyed 2 homes, took out a lot of barns and just devastated families.

This homes roof was ripped off, and the right side up-stairs was demolished.
This is one of the homes that was completely demolished. The family was inside and they are all just fine. I drove by this home this morning and it just hit me how fast your world can be turned up-side down. Literally. There are a lot of people out there helping to pick up. Wood, metal, trash and all kinds of items are just spread all through out the fields.
This is a visible trail it left behind while it was forming.
This was a barn. There is a truck still under there.
This was a storage barn for hay.

I do not really know where the barn stood in this photo, but there was one.

Please pray for the families.

O Christmas Tree

My tree is up and its sooo purty! And real! And it smells really good! And I don't have to go buy those pine scented febreze plug-ins that I love so much to imitate the christmas smells. The kids and I decorated it last night.I especieally like the black star on top. I hunted for a star and gave up. We were in hobby lobby Saturday and all there wall decorations were 50% off. There, on a shelf, was one last black star.My stockings are pretty too. Another Hobby Lobby special. Red and black. Not your normal holiday colors, but why do what everybody else does?
Well that's my Christmas decorations. For now.

UFC in training

SO, Saturday night we had some friends and relatives over to watch the Couture vs. Lesnar fight. No, I do not watch these fights all the time. When I do, my hand is over my mouth and I just cannot figure out how you can get punched in the face, and still keep going. Plus, all that Vaseline they spread all over those guys face, Yuck!
Anyways, we do let our kids wrestle. Saturday, before the fight, we had to get a little sibling wrestling match going, (with adult supervision).
A little giggling action
kid 3's face in kid 2's rear-end
Getting lessons from DaddyMaybe if you squeeze...Or laugh a little bit....Sometimes a choke hold does fine too....
You can always stick monkeys on your cousins head while he is trying to watch the real fight.
None of the children were hurt, and we all learned a few new moves. My favorite one is sticking your face in your siblings rear-end. I do not know what that accomplishes, but it makes me laugh.

I love me some kids!

My nieces are here! Two beautiful girls who make me so happy when they walk through my door. Of course I grab my camera and go to shootin'."This lady with the camera is weird"

"Not again"

I think they get tired of the flash, because these were the only good shots I got last night. Who can blame them, I only take about 500 pictures when they are here. So, this morning, with camera in tow, I woke them up. Hair was wild and I think niece #2's thumb is going to permanently be stuck to her mouth. So, we woke up and decided to make homemade donuts.

Yum! Taste test

All around the table

I think niece #2 likes them!

Good job kids!
